Honeycomb Rack Installation

Founded in Miami, Florida, in 1998, TUUCI—The Ultimate Umbrella Company, Inc.—is a global designer and manufacturer of high-end architectural shade structures, commercial parasols, cabanas, and outdoor furnishings. Founder Dougan Clarke drew on his experience as a marine rigger to create durable, nautically inspired products engineered for demanding outdoor environments.

From its Miami headquarters and primary manufacturing facility, TUUCI serves commercial, hospitality, residential, and marine markets worldwide. Its products combine architectural design, skilled craftsmanship, and marine-grade construction to provide lasting performance in a wide range of environments. TUUCI’s manufacturing operations involve long structural and linear materials, including extruded aluminum, structural steel, marine-grade timber, and flexible composite rods. Keeping these specialized materials organized and readily accessible is essential to supporting an efficient production process.

To address these requirements, Atlantic Rack served exclusively as the installation contractor for this project. TUUCI selected a Honeycomb Rack system developed by Roll Out Racks. Designed specifically for long materials, the system features a compact arrangement of individual storage compartments that allows tubes, bars, profiles, lumber, and other linear products to be organized separately while making efficient use of both vertical and horizontal space. Its modular configuration was well suited for TUUCI’s diverse inventory of extruded aluminum, structural steel, marine-grade timber, and flexible composite rods.

The system consolidates these materials within a smaller footprint while keeping individual profiles visible, organized, and directly accessible for production. Specialized trays can also support thin or flexible materials, helping prevent them from shifting or becoming difficult to handle during storage.

Atlantic Rack’s installation team coordinated the assembly and placement of the Honeycomb Rack system within TUUCI’s Miami manufacturing facility. Because the structure contains numerous closely arranged storage compartments, the installation required careful sequencing, precise alignment, and secure anchoring to ensure that every section was properly positioned according to the provided specifications.

Working within the facility’s limited available space, the team assembled the modular components and integrated the completed system into the designated storage area. Atlantic Rack’s installation experience helped ensure that this unique, high-density structure was installed accurately and efficiently, preparing it for TUUCI’s long structural and linear materials while minimizing interference with the surrounding manufacturing environment.

The system provides organized, high-density storage for long materials, reducing the need to store products on the floor and helping improve warehouse safety and organization. By keeping materials properly supported and easily accessible, the Honeycomb Rack also helps streamline handling and retrieval while maximizing vertical storage space.
