Mobile Racking Systems

Maximize your warehouse storage capacity with mobile racking systems designed to eliminate unnecessary aisles and make better use of available floor space. Mobile racks move along floor-mounted rails, opening an aisle only where access is needed while providing high-density pallet storage.

These systems are designed for facilities where storage density and efficient space utilization are priorities. Unlike conventional pallet racking, mobile racking is installed on movable bases that allow entire rows of racks to shift, eliminating the need for permanent aisles between every rack.

With aisles opening only when needed, mobile racking can significantly increase storage capacity within the same warehouse footprint while maintaining direct access to individual pallets.

Key Benefits of Mobile Racking:

  • High-density pallet storage
  • Reduced aisle requirements
  • Better utilization of existing floor space
  • Direct access to stored pallets
  • Improved warehouse organization
  • Flexible storage configurations
  • Efficient use of available warehouse capacity

Best Applications:

  • Distribution centers
  • Cold storage and freezers
  • Food and beverage facilities
  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Pharmaceutical and healthcare
  • Retail distribution
  • Industrial warehouses
  • High-density pallet storage

How Mobile Racking Works

Mobile racking combines traditional pallet rack structures with motorized mobile bases installed on floor-mounted rails. The racks move horizontally to create an access aisle at the desired location.

When an operator needs to retrieve or store a pallet, the system opens the appropriate aisle. Once the operation is complete, the racks close together again, maximizing the available storage space.

Mobile Racking vs Conventional Pallet Racking

Traditional Racking Layout

Traditional selective pallet racking requires a dedicated aisle between each rack row for forklift access. While this provides excellent accessibility, a significant portion of the warehouse footprint is dedicated to aisle space.

More aisles = Less Storage Space

Mobile Racking

Mobile racking eliminates many of these permanent aisles by placing racks on movable bases. This allows more rack positions to be installed within the same footprint while still providing access to individual storage locations when required. Only one aisle is needed at a time.

Fewer aisles + greater storage density (Up to 90% more Pallets)
